Job Purpose 

The Head of Proposition – Counter Fraud (Core & Volume) is a leadership role within the Clients and Markets function of Davies UK & Ireland. This role is responsible for the strategic development and profitable growth of our core and volume cross-class claims and legal counter fraud proposition to the UK & Ireland insurance market. This includes developing new innovative technical and technological counter fraud solutions and the enhancement of existing solutions to best serve the counter fraud needs of our core and volume claims and legal clients. The role will be responsible for growth of the fraud segment across our core and volume business, and they will work with market and client management teams to ensure our core and volume counter fraud proposition is expertly positioned across the insurance market. The successful candidate will deliver strategic counter fraud advice to core and volume clients and develop a suite of added value solutions that build trust and engagement with our valued counter fraud clients.

Key Accountabilities

Proposition Development:

  • Lead the strategic development of our core and volume claims and legal counter fraud proposition to the UK and Ireland insurance market, delivering sustainable profitable growth for the segment.
  • Innovate and enhance the counter fraud proposition to align with market needs and deliver organic growth through new and existing product development, increased panel shares, the addition of new clients and the enhanced competitive positioning of wider claims and legal services.
  • Work with market and client management teams to ensure the effective positioning of the core and volume counter fraud proposition with clear and distinct messaging relative to each class of business and market segment.

Segment Growth:

  • Drive growth within the core and volume counter fraud segment through collaboration with business development, market and client teams to identify and convert profitable new business pursuits and enhance existing client relationships through targeted added value programs and the introduction of wider Davies solutions that support client objectives.
  • Work with technical, operational and IT colleagues to develop new and innovative counter fraud solutions across all claim classes that expand our service offering and improve client satisfaction and market competitiveness.
  • Identify suitable lateral/team hire and acquisition prospects and work closely with our commercial and M&A teams to convert hires/transactions that enhance the competitive position of our counter fraud offering.
  • Monitor and address pricing levels across the counter fraud segment, securing price enhancements with clients to ensure viability of service delivery is maintained.
  • Lead the development of RFP responses for counter fraud client retention and growth pursuits that convey the technical and commercial strength of the counter fraud proposition and the specific value it represents to each individual client.

Client Service:

  • Gather market insights to inform proposition development and monitor client feedback to build on positive sentiment and address any challenges early.
  • Work closely with client management teams responsible for counter fraud clients, fostering a high-performance culture focused on client satisfaction and profitable business growth.
  • Ensure client directors maintain and execute counter fraud client development plans, monitor service standards, deliver management information in line with client expectations and forecast business development budgets accurately.
  • Provide strategic advice to clients to support relationship development and act as a senior point of escalation for client leaders.
  • Develop a suite of added value solutions that build trust and engagement with counter fraud clients and differentiate our offering in the market.

 

Working Hours 

35 hours per week

Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm

Home-based role with travel to Davies and client offices as required.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Deep insurance claims counter fraud industry expertise
  • Strong track record in proposition development and profitable revenue growth
  • Significant relationship management experience
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to simplify complex subject matter and gain buy-in from internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work proactively and autonomously to translate market trends and insight into marketable solutions
