This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional with practiced experience in climate reporting. As subject-matter expert on the energy transition, the ESG and Climate Analyst will work in collaboration with colleagues across Davies group to ensure that engagement and climate initiatives are implemented and supported by the best intelligence on market developments.

The role sits in the ESG function reporting directly to the Group Director of ESG. Davies ESG department is responsible for ESG and carbon reduction across the group of Davies companies, as well as reporting directly to the ESG Board Committee. Ensuring our strategy is embedded across groupwide operations means collaborating with the entire business but most prominently, Risk, Compliance, Procurement, HR, Facilities and Finance.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the ESG data collection process from business operations across 10 + countries worldwide to ensure accurate reporting against Group sustainability targets and KPIs.
  • Take over management of Davies existing global climate reporting and regulatory requirements including GHG emissions and climate risk mitigation.
  • Supporting Davies’ transition to a Net Zero business by 2050, including overseeing progress towards our Science Based Targets.
  • To identify opportunities for Davies to demonstrate sustainability impact and reduce or mitigate the GHG emissions in our operations and supply chain.
  • Supporting wider ESG initiatives and reporting across the scope of ESG.

 

Key skills and experience required

  • Strong analytical skills, understands data and how to use it to harness insights and action.
  • Comfortable with building virtual relationships and working cross business and functions.
  • Methodical, meticulous, and structured in approach
  • Prior experience in climate reporting is preferred including TCFD, SECR, ESOS, SBTi.
  • Knowledge of sustainability standards and frameworks, including UNGC, ISSB, CSRD, carbon accounting.
  • Microsoft Excel skills including proficiency in dashboarding, data analysis, modelling, and visualisation preferred.
  • A passion to understand, report and improve our impact on the planet.
